Program: Three Villas
Status: Schematic Design
For the Skopela Villas, our design journey began with a thorough feasibility study, shaping the blueprint for a harmonious integration of architecture and landscape and ultimately determining the number of villas that are best suited for the site. Situated on a steep sloped site, our approach was guided by a commitment to optimizing views to the mountain and sea, ensuring privacy to all spaces, and making the most of the natural contours of the land.
Each villa within the development embraces a distinctive plan configuration, providing residents with a unique spatial experience. The careful consideration of the site's topography allowed us to nestle each villa seamlessly within the landscape, limiting the need for stairs and minimizing backfills. This thoughtful placement not only respects the original steep topography but also enhances the overall flow and connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The interplay of design elements forms a cohesive aesthetic that ties the villas together. Pristine white stone tiles, solid white and red masses, striated textures, and expansive green roof trellises create a visual tapestry that is both contemporary and rooted in the surrounding environment. This holistic design language serves not only an aesthetic purpose but also contributes to the ecological sustainability of the development.
The result is a series of interconnected villas, each a unique expression of thoughtful design and responsive architecture. The various configurations offer a multitude of terrace options, providing residents with different sizes, levels of privacy and openness, and shades. These terraces become versatile outdoor spaces, extending the living experience beyond the confines of the villa and allowing residents to immerse themselves in the natural beauty that surrounds them.
